my kids today were excited about obama's victory much like the rest of the world.
we listened to his victory speech so during the day they would ask:

What time is it in chicago?

Another student in the middle of class said:
Wow. Today is a historically day. I mean, Im alive and this black man was elected. I am here and it happened now. Wow! I wont forget this.

and im sure he won't.

it was a 'historically" day.

and on the streets of khartoum...i got shout outs of 'Obama'...and thumbs up.

the world is celebrating.
