This weekend we went to see the Sufi's dance (Whirling Dervishes). They do this every Friday and it was a beautiful site. Sufism is a mystical branch of Islam and so they are allowed to dance and play music. There were drums and everyone was in a big circle chanting. Some were dancing in the middle. The energy was so warm and people were happy. Even the smallest children were dancing.
You don't hear much live music here so it was a treat in many ways.
afterwards there was a woman making fresh dounuts and i couldnt resist...yummy...fried dough is universal!
